We collect information you provide directly: business name, contact information, employee details (names, roles, NFC bracelet IDs), and payment information processed through Stripe. We also collect usage data including tip amounts, timestamps, and ratings.
We use collected information to: provide and maintain the Service, process tip payments, generate reports and analytics for business owners, send notifications, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
When a customer tips through TipTap, their payment information is processed directly by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. We may store anonymized tip amounts and optional star ratings for analytics purposes. No customer names or card details are retained.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring each business can only access their own data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant.
We share data only with: Stripe (for payment processing), Resend (for transactional emails), and Vercel (hosting infrastructure). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of TipTap and its users.
You have the right to: access your personal data, request corrections, delete your account and associated data, export your data, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@tiptap.app.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
